Happy 90th!

Well, my theory of Lajunta being dry went out the window while listening to the rain pour at 6am. However, the sun came out later and it was a pleasant day for a 90th birthday party (okay there was a tornado siren involved later with some rain but....whatever!) My cousins hosted a wonderful celebration for my Aunt Helen who is the eldest of the three Svetkoff sisters. All of my brothers and sisters were there except for Lori who had just visited from California for Mothers Day. It was fun listening to them reminiscence with my cousins about growing up in Pueblo. Being child number six, I missed out on those days before my family moved away but my favorite cousin Susie was there who I played with on our visits to Pueblo. The book, Country Mouse and the City Mouse was written about us. I was the country mouse! This reunion was way overdue and hopefully will happen again - at least in two years when my mom hits the big 9-0!
