Unplugged. This afternoon, the school office had to close early. This meant that the front door would be locked and I still had a half hour to go on my Book Fair. Being the optimist that I am, I decided that I would sit on the bench just inside the front door, ready to open it for the stream of customers that may decide to descend upon the fair. Unfortunately, my laptop was at the other school and my iPad and phone were in the car. Oh no! I was faced with sitting on the bench completely unplugged! The only librarian thing to do was to grab some books...wow...30 minutes of not checking email, creating spreadsheets, editing Google docs.....just reading.  Even though not one customer made an appearance, it was a bright spot in my day. I really need to detach that cord more often!
