Yesterday Don came home around 5pm from the Cherry Creek area and told me that there was a major storm brewing. At the same time we were turning on the TV, Paige was texting from the Anschutz Campus where she was holed up in the first floor bathroom due to the tornado warning. There was no announcement from the research building she is working in but her phone notified her of the warning. I will not be complaining about the phone bill this month. Everything turned out fine, no damage to the building or people which was surprising when you see the photo of how close the funnel cloud was.
Today the excitement was Max's trip to the dentist. A specialist looked at his overbite this week and determined that all of his bottom teeth had to be pulled in order for his jaw and adult teeth to develop normally. Don was out of town so I had to be the bad guy who took him to the clinic this morning. Everything went well and he was pretty out of it when Don brought him home. Max perked up later tonight but you could tell that things were a little psychedelic for him. He was a little wobbly and took an interest in the television-barking at what he saw. The vet who did the procedure took me seriously when I said, "I guess the tooth fairy will be busy tonight" and sent home the teeth with Don! I wonder what she will bring? Stay tuned!
