Today we had to say a final goodbye to my Aunt Helen. You may remember that over Memorial Day weekend we traveled to La Junta to help her celebrate her 90th birthday. Sadly, she passed away suddenly, less than a week later. The services today at the La Junta Church of Christ were very nice because she was an active member of this small church so the preachers, who knew and loved her as much as her family, gave very heartfelt sermons. It was truly a celebration of her life. Of course the bittersweet of all funerals is that you can once again be together with family that you don't often see and share wonderful memories that will live on. Rest in peace Aunt Helen.
