Under the great direction of my Obi-Wan Marie, I completed my first quilting project - well part of it anyway. I have two log cabin pillow tops done - one under Marie's tutelage, one on my own. I'll let you decide which one turned out better....Besides holding my hand as I entered the world of quilting, Marie also got my gently used sewing machine up and running and purring like a kitten. I have never had such a positive sewing experience! Thank you Marie!
Tomorrow the quilt project continues as I drive to Fort Morgan to receive training from my mom and sister on the art of hand quilting. Also, I heard there's a new quilt shop in town.....what a coincidence! The clock is ticking - summer vacation is coming to an end so I need to squeeze every minute out of it!
