Strolling Strambino

 Strolling Strambino

A lazy day today. Don, Debby and I strolled a little around Strambino while Antonio and Barb picked up our sister Lori at the airport who was flying in from Alaska.

The first thing that I had to remember about Strambino was that the roads are narrow and there are no sidewalks. Sometimes there are designated walkways at the side of the road but a good rule of thumb is to walk as close to the buildings as possible. The cars are small but still mighty and always in a hurry!

Great nephew Nathan was home “sick” today so he hung out at his grandma’s house and attended school virtually. Kids don’t have sick days at his school. The teachers broadcast their lessons and the students at home are expected to tune in. Unfortunately it was all in italian so I couldn’t listen in!

Lori made it but her bags didn’t. Hopefully that will be resolved by tomorrow. A lot of visiting was done and plans made for the next few days. A great entry into our European vacation.

Outside of my sister’s home. It’s the pinkish colored building. The person walking is by the front door and the larger door is the car entrance.

Debby standing in the doorway.

The courtyard inside

Santi Michele E Solutore church in the square by their home. It was built in 1764 and my sister’s home, which is her husband’s childhood home was built before that.

Nathan on the pogo stick. Miraculous recovery from sickness. I’m just calling it recess.

All together for lunch

Baby Yoda. Great Aunt Donna may not finish all her knitting projects but made sure to finish this one!
